One of the treasures on High St Strathalbyn

Visiting Strathalbyn isn't complete without a walk down wonderful High street, the variety of treasures located here are mixed and varied.

Most assimilate High St Strathalbyn with the myriad of Antique shops. That is for good reason, its not called the "Unofficial Antique Capital of SA" for nothing. A recent guest of Strathalbyn Cottages forwarded their pleasure in finding something just a bit different on Hight St, Gilberts Motor Museum on one such walk.

Terry and his wife Maxine from Moonee Ponds in Victoria had not heard of the Museum. Terry is an avid motorist and loves his 'Fords', but admits he loves all fine vehicles irrespective of vintage, shape or style .

With many various vintage motor vehicles rotated through the display, you never quite know what will be there until you visit the Museum. Suffice to say, the volume of vehicles housed at Gilberts is assured to interest the Harley lovers to the MG lovers

With a price tag of only $10pp and $8pp concession, entry is an affordable and an interesting attraction for all whether on a day trip to Strath or an extended getaway on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Located at 34 High Street Strathalbyn and open from 10am - 4pm Wednesday to Sunday.
